Roy and Margaret Thrush Commercial Airlines Collection

Contents of the Collection The Roy and Margaret Thrush Commercial Aviation Collection is a small collection that focuses mainly on Roy Thrush's 20-year career as a commercial pilot for TWA with a much smaller focus on his brief time at Lufthansa. The bulk of the collection is textual documents, including pilot logs; employee documents, including correspondence, memos, and schedules; membership cards; and a partial TWA pilot's manual. Douglas I. Tilden Lunar Roving Vehicle Collection

Abstract

Douglas I. Tilden worked on the restoration of the Museum of Flight's Lunar Roving Vehicle. A crew of 18 volunteers worked on the restoration project from about 1993-1995. The materials in the collections were used for that restoration project.

Donald D. Viele Lunar Orbiter Collection

Abstract

Donald Viele was a Systems Engingeer with Boeing who worked with NASA on the Lunar Orbiter Program (1964-1967). This collection contains documents and photographs collected and authored by Viele during his time on the Lunar Orbiter team.

There is also some documentation relating to Viele's work with the Minuteman Missile program.

Abstract Lindell Ray Vinson (1938-2005) was a United States Naval aviator and a commercial airline pilot. Dianne (Shannon) Vinson (1940-2006) worked for Braniff Airways, likely as a flight attendant.
