Bennedsen World War II Collection documents Bennedsen's service as a pilot of Boeing B-17 aircraft on operational missions over Germany near the end of World War II. This small collection includes a Pilot's Flight Log with entries from 1943-1945, a pay card, and a list of all of Bennedsen's 35 operational missions over Germany, which includes the dates and names of German cities. Content Description

The University of Washington Venturi Wind Tunnel Reports document experiments by the University’s Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics to study the “Venturi Effect,” the effect of a fluid’s velocity as it passes through a constricted space. The collection contains memos and notations about calibrating and using the wind tunnel and reports by students describing the findings of their experiments ranging from the construction of the wind tunnel in 1930 to 1993.
