Roger Charles McNally Collection

Abstract

Roger Charles McNally (1887-1922) joined the U. S. Army in 1917 and after World War I was sent to Italy to assist with the Army’s purchase of the airship Roma. The collection consists of clippings, photographs, and assorted ephmera related to Master Sergeant McNally's career in the Army Air Corps, and his death in the airshipRoma accident.

Abstract

Richard J. McWhorter (1921-2007) was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho and had a long standing and multi-faceted interest in aviation, including owning and restoring vintage airplanes. The collection includes manuscript materials, ephemera, audio-visual materials, and approximately three hundred (300) photographs documenting the restoration of a Stearman C-3B (#NC7550), on display at The Museum of Flight, as well as a Stearman C-3R (#NC656K).

Jerry Michaud (1924-1982) Michaud served in the United States Navy during World War II as a Naval pilot in the Pacific Theater. Thelma McGraw (1920-1996) She worked as a stewardess with United Airlines (UAL).
