David O. Hill Seaboard World Airlines Collection

Abstract

David O. Hill (1939-) was a pilot for Seaboard World Airlines (SWA). Hill was also SWA's archivist and historian. The collection relates to the company history, personnel, and operations of Seaboard World Airlines (SWA), from its establishment in 1946 to 1980 when it merged with Flying Tigers Line and is comprised primarily of textual materials, the bulk of which are scrapbooks; but also includes photographic materials, including prints, slides, and negatives; and a single DVD.

Calvin H. and Yun Yau Kam Papers

Abstract

Yun Yau Kam served in the U.S. Army for 19 years and was the father of Calvin H. Kam. Calvin H. Kam was born in Hawaii and enlisted in 1969, completing flight school in 1970. The collection contains military documents, photographs, and slides relating to the military service of Calvin H. Kam during Vietnam and photographs and clippings related to his father's, Yun Yau Kam, service during World War II and the Korean War.

Contents of the Collection

The collection is comprised of a single color photographic portrait of United States Air Force fighter pilot and ace Colonel James B. Morehead (1916-2012). The photo is 2.5x3" and has been laminated at some point. It depicts Morehead dressed in his military uniform in front of the American flag and is undated (circa 1967-2007). There is no caption and it is unknown who took the photograph.
