Russian Aviation Collection
The Russian Aviation Collection documents 20th century Soviet and Russian aviators and aviation accomplishments, including the Soviet Transpolar Flight of 1937 as well as the Douglas World Cruisers of 1924, with photographs, clippings, articles, and photographic reproductions of various textual materials.
James C. Stewart Fighter Ace Collection
Lt. Col. James C. Stewart (1919-2004) was born in Corona, California. He joined the Army Air Force, graduated from flying school in August 1940, and was assigned to the 56th Fighter Group which was stationed in England during World War II. The collection primarily covers Lt. Col. Stewart's 1943-1966 military service with military records, personal documents, photographs, clippings, assorted ephemera, and films.
Leon Swietlikowski World War II Collection
Leon Swietlikowski (1912-1984) was born in Wilno, Poland and served in the Polish Air Force, as well as the Polish squadrons attached to the French Air Force and Royal Air Force, during World War II. The collection includes log books, personnel documents, and photographs of Leon Swietlikowski and his wife, Bette.
