Contents of the Collection

The Roy Herbert Royal Air Force (RAF) World War II Collection is comprised of materials relating to Herbert's RAF service as part of the 103rd Squadron during World War II. The materials were likely gathered by Herbert and include military identification and records, black-and-white portraits of Roy Herbert, clippings and photocopies related to the 103rd Squadron and its members, and a lithograph of a Lancaster B.I, which was utilized by the 103rd Squadron during the Battle of Britain.

Contents of the Collection

The Cliff and Pam Bickford NASA and Air Show Slide Collection is comprised of approximately 440 slides relating to NASA recovery operations of Gemini and Apollo, as well as assorted air shows, circa 1960s-1990s. There is also one black-and-white pencil lithograph of North American T-28 Trojan with USS Lexington markings signed by artist Don Kellams, undated.

Contents of the Collection The George P. Boyle Collection is comprised of two series; World War II aerial reconnaissance photographs and Boeing memorabilia. Series I, World War II aerial reconnaissance photographs, includes fifty-eight (58) black-and-white photographs dated 1945. The photographs vary in size, from 9.5x9.5" to 10x19" and include front captions providing contextual information such as location, date, and type of image, such as "post strike." Contents of the Collection The collection is a single color lithograph of a digital illustration titled "Fifteen" and created by artist Dan Zoernig. It depicts Lieutenant James Kasler as the pilot of in-flight North American F-86 Sabre "Martha Lee" next to another aircraft. The lithograph is undated, but was possibly created circa 1990s, as an homage to Kasler becoming the 15th jet ace of the U.S. Air Force. The print is autographed by "Col. James H.
