Biographical Note

Dominic "Don" Salvatore Gentile (1920-1951) was a World War II fighter pilot and ace. He flew for both the United States Army Air Forces and the Royal Canadian Air Force. Post-war he continued service with the Air Force as a test pilot. Gentile was killed in an aircraft crash on January 28, 1951.
