Biographical Note

Glenn Luther Martin (1886 – 1955) was an early American aviation pioneer. He designed and built his own aircraft and was an active pilot. Martin founded the Glenn L. Martin Companay in 1912. After several mergers, it is currently known as Lockheed Martin.

Scope and Contents From the Record Group: The Early Aviation Photograph Collection is a collection of unknown origins consisting of 328 black-and-white photographic prints and 299 negatives primarily depicting aircraft from the first half of the 20th century.
