Brian Baum Emirates Collection

Content Description The Brian Baum Emirates Collection is a small collection consisting of material received by the donor at a gala dinner to mark the start of Emirates' non-stop service between Seattle, Washington and Dubai, United Arab Emirates held at the Washington State Convention Center on March 2, 2012. The collection includes a 10-page commemorative /invitation, the event menu, and Tom Jones' set list taken from teh stage after the event.

Catherine Bliss Pan American World Airways timetables

Contents of the Collection This small collection is comprised of two Pan American Airways timetables titled "The Air-Way to Havana" for flights from Key West, Florida to Cuba in the late 1920's. Timetables are printed in color and feature black and white exterior and interior images of a Pan American Airways Fokker F.VIIa Trimotor, eight of which were used for this flight service.

Peter M. Bowers Photograph Collection and Papers

Overview Peter M. Bowers (1918-2003) was an aeronautical engineer at The Boeing Company for 36 years but was more noted as an aviation historian who wrote several dozen books and close to 900 articles on aircraft. This collection is notable for the approximately 150,000 photographic images he amassed during his career, as well as his writing and research files. The materials span the early 1900s to 2003.

Bremerton Airplane Service Certificate of Flight

Content Description This small collection consists of a single item: a Bremerton Airplane Service Certificate of Flight dated August 17, 1919. The certificate reads "This is to certify that Miss Irene Petersen Made A Flight Over the City of Bremerton as a Passenger in a Boeing Airplane." It is signed by pilot "Maroney TT."

Ed Brown Northwest Airlines Photographs

Content Description The collection is comprised of four photographs of Northwest Airways aircraft, dated August 1933. Aircraft include a Ford Tri-motor 5AT (NC8410), Travel Air 6000 (NC8754), Stearman C3 (NC6255), and Sikorsky S-38 (NC303N). Photographs were taken at the Northwest Airways Overhaul Base at Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Contents of the Collection The collection is comprised of two (2) color decals of United States west coast-based airlines, circa 1920s - 1930s. Decals include: a red, white, black, yellow and blue oval-shaped 5x3.5" decal by West Coast Air Transport Company that features the names and travel times of four cities at the top, a tri-motored super air pullman at center, and fields for passenger contact information; a red and white wing-shaped 4.75x2.125" decal by Pickwick Latino Americana. with text, "Servicios Aereos."

Jeffry Culver Boeing Field Negatives

Contents of the Collection The Jeffry Culver Boeing Field Negatives is comprised of 22 black-and-white negatives taken at King County International Airport, otherwise known as Boeing Field, by Culver in 1970. The images are 35mm and were taken for a photography class while Culver was a student at Bellevue High School in Bellevue, Washington. The images depict stationary aircraft at the airport. Many of the aircraft views are obscured or from a distance. Some images include people and or buildings in the background....
