The collection consists of 38 (eight 8x10" and 30 4x6") color photographs and five 35mm color film negative strips of the Museum of Flight's B-17F on set in England during the filming of the 1990 film Memphis Belle. The photographs were all taken from the interior of the B-17F, so the exterior of the plane is not visible in the images.

The Memphis Belle is a 1990 historical drama/action film. The movie is a fictionalized version of the final flight of a B-17 Flying Fortress bomber based in England during World War II. The Museum of Flight's B-17 was used in the film.
