Biographical Note

Joseph Andrew Bossi was born in Washington state on February 4,1892 to Giuseppe (Joseph) Bossi and Maria Giovanna (Mary) Nigro. He enlisted in the United States Army circa 1915-1917 and was a sergeant in the 162nd Aero Squadron of the U.S. Army Air Service. During his World War I service, he was stationed in England. After the war, he returned to the United States.

Bossi married Valeria Cecilia Kautzky (1906-2003), circa 1940-1941, and the couple had a son, Joseph Jr. Joseph A. Bossi, Sr. died on December 10, 1994.
