Biographical Note

Jess Cauthorn (1923-2005) was an American artist from Seattle, Washington. He studied at the Burnley School of Professional Art, which later became the Art Institute of Seattle. Cauthorn later ran and taught at the Art Institute of Seattle. He was a member of the American Watercolor Society, Puget Sound Group of Northwest Painters, and the Northwest Watercolor Society.
