Biographical Note

Edward A. Bellande (1897-1976) was an aviation pioneer. He was a World War I pilot, a barnstormer, a flight liaison for the motion pictures, and helped found Maddux Air Lines, among other accomplishments and jobs. Additionally, Bellande was awarded the Airmail Flyers' Medal of Honor, of which only 10 were ever earned.
