Biographical Note

Jim Hastin was a fighter pilot during World War II. He served with 361st Fighter Group, 374th Fighter Squadron and flew a P-51 mustang. During his 69th mission, he was shot down and taken as a prisoner-of-war until his release in 1945. Post-war, he worked in the heating and ventilation business in Washington state, and retired in 1986.
