William E. Boeing Sr. Papers
William E. Boeing, Sr. (1881-1956) was an aviation pioneer and founded The Boeing Company in 1916. The collection holds textual materials, such as correspondence, philately, business-related materials, clippings, and ephemera, as well as photographs and illustrations related to his personal and business life, circa 1783-2008. Major areas of interest include family photographs and extensive personal and business-related correspondence.
Boeing SST artwork collection
The collection consists of assorted concept art of the Boeing Model 2707 SST. Included are sketches, paintings in various media and presentation boards. The images are primarily exterior views of the plane in flight, although there is one image of an interior cabin. Some images have technical information on them.
Boeing SST cutaway drawings
The Boeing SST cutaway drawings collection is a small collection consisting of cutaway drawings of the unrealized Boeing SST. There are three copies each of two drawings, one showing an overhead view of the aircraft and one showing an underside view. The largest are blueline drawings measuring about 36.5x13 incches, and there are two smaller photocopied versions of each.
