Historical Note

Trans World Airlines (TWA) was a major American airline from 1930 until 2001. It was originally formed as Transcontinental & Western Air as the result of the merger of Transcontinental Air Transport (T-A-T) and Western Air Express. The airline ceased operations when it was acquired by American Airlines.

Johnson during her 36-year career as a flight attendant for Trans World Airlines (TWA), from 1960-1996.
