Historical Note

Air West was an American passenger airline established in 1968 when Bonanza Air Lines, Pacific Air Lines, and West Coast Airlines merged to form Air West. It was renamed Hughes Air West in 1970 when the airline was bought by Howard Hughes. It later became Hughes Airwest in 1971.
