Historical Note

Deutsche Lufthansa AG, also known as Lufthansa German Airlines, although it is more commonly seen as Lufthansa, began in 1953 and is the flag carrier of Germany. It uses the same name and logo as Duetsche Lufthansa, a defunct German airline that operated from 1926-1945.

Content Description The Robert E. Hage Photograph Collection consists primarily of visual materials related to Hage's career as an aeronautical engineer and executive at the Boeing Company and McDonnell Aircraft Company in the mid-to-late twentieth century. Hage's time at Boeing is documented with four official black-and-white 8x10-inch photographs of Hage with colleagues. Three show the men in thier offices at King County Airport at Boeing Field and one shows them in the cockpit of a 707. ...
