Historical Note

Pan American World Airways was established in 1927. More commonly known as Pan Am, the airline operated domestic and international flights. It ceased operations in late 1991 due to financial problems.

Contents of the Collection This small collection is comprised of a Pan American World Airways flight schedule, effective November 1, 1946. Titled "Air Ways for Two-Way Trade," the timetable features international routes all over the world. It includes more detail on routes between North and South America as it is "probably the best opportunity for reciprocal foreign trade." A Pan American Airways route map is included at the center of the booklet.
