Overview

The Howard J. Boydstun Naval Aviation Collection contains both visual materials and textual documents that bring to light the military career of naval aviator Howard J. Boydstun. Boydstun served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. While the collection dates from 1940 to 1995, the bulk of the materials document the years of Boydstun’s service from 1942 until his retirement in 1972.

Contents of the Collection The Sanford W. Seidler Aircraft Carrier Collection is comprised of textual and visual materials collected and created by Seidler during his radio technician military service and his work as an electronic systems engineer post-war. Dates range from 1943-1991, although the bulk of the material is dated 1969-1974.
