Abstract

The William Hough “Bill” Cook, Jr. Papers are comprised of documents, photographs, newspaper clippings, and memorabilia pertaining to the life and work of Bill Cook, Jr. A significant portion of this collection is made up of correspondence, both personal and professional. Major topics include the Boeing high speed wind tunnel, the B-29, B-47, and B-17 bombers, the development of the YC-14 short takeoff and landing (STOL) aircraft, and research on supersonic transport.

The Ellis Levin Boeing Papers documents Ellis Levin's 54-year career with the Boeing Company through textual documents and photographic materials dating from 1932-2021. The materials in the collection are related to Levin’s engineering career, most notably his work in the Vibration Unit and Physical Research Unit, as well as his position as the Systems Growth Manager on the X-20 Dyna-Soar Program, and then as the Systems Engineering Manager for the Lunar Orbiter Program.

Content Description The Bill McIntosh Boeing Photograph Collection is a collection of photos acquired by McIntosh during his 38-year career at the Boeing Company as an aerodynamicist from 1958-1996. The collection includes 200 prints, which are primarily 8x10" color prints though some are black-and-white.
