Overview

The Howard J. Boydstun Naval Aviation Collection contains both visual materials and textual documents that bring to light the military career of naval aviator Howard J. Boydstun. Boydstun served in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. While the collection dates from 1940 to 1995, the bulk of the materials document the years of Boydstun’s service from 1942 until his retirement in 1972.

Content Description The MacPherson B. Williams Naval Aviation Collection is a small collection consisting of military records and photographs related to Rear Admiral MacPherson B. Williams' career in the U.S. Navy dating from about 1931-1959. The military records document both MacPherson's career and the history of Air Group Three.
