Peter M. Bowers Photograph Collection and Papers
Peter M. Bowers (1918-2003) was an aeronautical engineer at The Boeing Company for 36 years but was more noted as an aviation historian who wrote several dozen books and close to 900 articles on aircraft. This collection is notable for the approximately 150,000 photographic images he amassed during his career, as well as his writing and research files. The materials span the early 1900s to 2003.
Lee Embree Collection
Lee R. Embree (1915-2008) was born in Iowa, enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1936, and was assigned to the 38th Reconnaisance Squadron as an aerial photographer during World War II. Embree was at Hickam Field, Hawaii during the 1941 Pearl Harbor bombing and took several photographs. The collection contains photographs, textual materials, audiovisual materials, and a scrapbook that relate to Embree's military service and photography as well as his post-war photography activities.

G. Harry Stine Space History and Model Rocketry Collection
The G. Harry Stine Space History and Model Rocketry Collection encompasses the professional work of G. Harry Stine, the founder of model rocketry in the United States. The collection includes material related to his work in the National Association of Rocketry, drafts of his writings, rocket designs, materials affiliated with model rocketry corporations, his aeronautical research files, and his work in commercial space flight.
Douglas I. Tilden Lunar Roving Vehicle Collection
Douglas I. Tilden worked on the restoration of the Museum of Flight's Lunar Roving Vehicle. A crew of 18 volunteers worked on the restoration project from about 1993-1995. The materials in the collections were used for that restoration project.
