August G. Blume (1927-1993) was an author and historian focused on the Eastern Theater of World War I. This collection consists of his writing, correspondence but most notably a large number of photographic images of the Eastern Front during World War I that Blume attained during his research. The materials span the early 1900s to 2000.

Elvie A. Myers (born 1889) was an aerial photographer for the United States Army Air Corps at the end of World War I. The collection is comprised of twelve (12) photographs and two (2) documents related to his military service.

Frederick Staples (1893-1958) was born in Leighwood, Devon County, England. Staples served with the United States (U.S.) Army American Expeditionary Forces (AEF), 34th Aero Squadron, in France during World War I. The collection is comprised of a photograph album and a small amount of textual materials collected by Staples during his 1917-1919 service.
