Overview

August G. Blume (1927-1993) was an author and historian focused on the Eastern Theater of World War I. This collection consists of his writing, correspondence but most notably a large number of photographic images of the Eastern Front during World War I that Blume attained during his research. Leon Swietlikowski (1912-1984) was born in Wilno, Poland and served in the Polish Air Force, as well as the Polish squadrons attached to the French Air Force and Royal Air Force, during World War II.
