Wilhelm Böing letters

Contents of the Collection
The collection contains six handwritten letters ranging from February 26, 1869 to April 18, 1883 between William E. Boeing, Sr. (WEB) and his father, Wilhelm Böing. It is not always clear who is writing to whom in the letters, since father and son shared the same name. Additionally, not all of the letters have accompanying envelopes which could provide clarification based on the address. The letters are in German and have not been translated.

Content Description
The Stanley Bishop Flying Tigers 747 Photograph Collection is a small collection consisting of three color photographic prints depicting a Beoing 747 in Flying Tiger Line livery, from circa the 1970s. In the photographs the aircraft is parked on the tarmac at an unidentified airport. Some unidentified Boeing employees are depicted in two of the images. "Henry L. Heguy" is painted beneath the cockpit windows.

Catherine Bliss Pan American World Airways timetables

Contents of the Collection
This small collection is comprised of two Pan American Airways timetables titled "The Air-Way to Havana" for flights from Key West, Florida to Cuba in the late 1920's. Timetables are printed in color and feature black and white exterior and interior images of a Pan American Airways Fokker F.VIIa Trimotor, eight of which were used for this flight service.

August G. Blume (1927-1993) was an author and historian focused on the Eastern Theater of World War I. This collection consists of his writing, correspondence but most notably a large number of photographic images of the Eastern Front during World War I that Blume attained during his research. Collection consists of an "Application for Home-Canning Sugar Allowance" for 60 pounds of sugar from Bertha Boeing on behalf of William Boeing and William Boeing, Jr., dated July 22, 1944. A no. 37 sugar war ration stamp is applied next to each family member's name. The application is signed by Bertha Boeing.

The collection contains thirty-eight (38) black-and-white 11x14" photographs from the Boeing Company Historical Archives which relate to the March 18, 1954 Boeing B-52 Stratofortress ceremony with General Nathan Twining; Boeing 707 production; and one photograph of a photograph depicting a 1919 Boeing mailplane first flight from Vancouver to Seattle, Washington.
