Contents of the Collection The collection is comprised of approximately four hundred forty (440) slides relating to NASA recovery operations of Gemini and Apollo, as well as assorted air shows, circa 1960s-1990s. There is also one (1) black-and-white pencil lithograph of North American T-28 Trojan with USS Lexington markings signed by artist Don Kellams, undated.

George Hage Apollo Collection

Overview George Hage was NASA's Deputy Director for the Apollo Program. The 17 total Apollo Programs were designed to send astronauts to photograph, map, and eventually walk on, the moon. Overview The Charles L. Soellner NASA Collection documents the space programs of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. The documents date from 1959 to 1975. The bulk of the materials are photographs and photomechancial prints mass-produced by NASA. The visual documentation and ephemera related to manned spaceflight missions were collected and assembled together in scrapbooks by Soellner.

Douglas I. Tilden Lunar Roving Vehicle Collection

Abstract Douglas I. Tilden worked on the restoration of the Museum of Flight's Lunar Roving Vehicle. A crew of 18 volunteers worked on the restoration project from about 1993-1995. The materials in the collections were used for that restoration project.

Overview Willard "Bill" P. Williams had a 43-year career at Boeing and worked on numerous projects, including the Lunar Orbiters. The Willard P. Williams Lunar Orbiter Photograph Collection consists of three panels of black-and-white positive transparent film strips and two photographic prints documenting the various features of the moon captured on the first Lunar Orbiter mission.
