The Julius A. Barr Photograph Album

Abstract Julius A. Barr (1905-1939) was born in Normal, Illinois and spent time as a personal pilot to Chinese military figures Zhang Xueliang (also known as the "Young Marshal" and "Peter Chang") and General Chiang Kai-shek in the mid-1930s. The collection contains a photograph album with three hundred and thirty-nine (339) black-and-white photographs, most likely taken by Barr, covering his time in China.

Scope and Contents The Kenneth W. Porter RCAF logbook is a small collection consisting of one logbook documenting Porter's service as a navigator with the Royal Canadian Air Force from July 1945 to October 1947. Most of the flights documented were out of Portage la Prairie Manitoba, Canada. The aircraft documented include Avro Ansons, de Havilland DH-82s, de Havilland Mosquitos, Vickers Wellingtons, and Handley Page Halifaxes.
