Abstract

The Charles Langmack Papers contains textual materials, scrapbooks, and photographs concerning the life and military career of Charles Langmack (1907-1999). Langmack was an early Oregon aviator, and this collection equally documents both his civilian and military aviation careers.

Contents of the Collection The C. Ashby Shoop Aviation Collection is a small collection containing visual and textual materials related to various aircraft, circa 1929-1970s. Nine photographs in the collection depict primarily aircraft, including the Northrop YB-49, Boeing B-17, Boeing/Northop B-2, Cessna CG-2, and Cessna CW-6. Abstract

Ralph H. Wandrey (1921-2020) was a World War II American fighter pilot and ace. The Ralph Wandrey Fighter Ace Collection documents fighter pilot and ace Ralph Wandrey's World War II service as well as activities associated to his veteran status, from 1935-2009. A smaller amount of material is personal in nature. Types of material include military records, a pilot's log, photographs, scrapbooks, correspondence, pamphlets, personal and educational records and clippings.

Contents of the Collection The collection is a single color lithograph of a digital illustration titled "Fifteen" and created by artist Dan Zoernig. It depicts Lieutenant James Kasler as the pilot of in-flight North American F-86 Sabre "Martha Lee" next to another aircraft.
