William E. Boeing, Sr. (1881-1956) was an aviation pioneer and founded The Boeing Company in 1916. Contents of the Collection
The collection is comprised of fourteen (14) black-and-white photographs depicting the construction of Boeing aircraft and the inside of Boeing Plant 1, circa 1914-1919. The photographer is unknown. Five of the images are 8x10" and include brief handwritten captions on reverse that identify the Boeing Airplane factory.
