Contents of the Collection

The Ronald Wilson Military Air Transport Service (MATS) Collection is a single-file collection of assorted clippings and a color photograph collected during the United States Air Force service of Ronald Wilson. Materials are dated 1959 to 1961. The clippings are about Air Force One, presidential use, and MATS. The photograph is 8x10-inches and shows the VC-137B, also known as "Air Force One" or "SAM 970" (tail number 86970) in flight. The aircraft is currently on display at The Museum of Flight in Seattle, Washington.
