William H. J. Blackburn World War I Photograph Collection
Contents of the Collection
The William H. J. Blackburn World War I Photograph Collection is a small collection consisting of three photographic prints of Sgt. William H. J. Blackburn and other members of 318th Infantry Army Squadron, 80th Division, serving in France during World War I.
All three photographs are black-and-white prints, printed on 3 1/2 x 5 3/8-inch postcard paper stock. One image is an informal portrait of Blackburn in uniform standing with another man, although damage to the print has obscured this person. The second image is a formal group portrait taken outdoors of the 318th Squadron, 80th Infantry Division. The third image is an informal group portrait of ten men from the squadron with a horse-drawn gun carriage and ammunition cart.
