Contents of the Collection

The Marilyn Meehan Pan American Flight Attendant Collection holds six color photographs of Marilyn Meehan, a flight attendant with Pan American World Airways from 1973-1980. Two 3x3 inch Polaroid snapshots depict Meehan in her uniform in 1973. Two prints are 5x7 inch photographic portraits that also feature Meehan in her uniform. One of the portraits has a caption on verso: "Marilyn Meehan / 1974 / Pan Am stewardess / 22 years old." The remaining two prints are 4x6 inches and depict Meehan with other flight attendants at a January 20, 2001 event at The Museum of Flight in Seattle, Washington. None of the flight attendants, aside from Meehan, are identified.

Separated Materials

Some materials have been removed from the archival component and are held in Objects storage, including flight attendant uniform pieces, pins, and wings; and within the Commercial Airlines Collection, including printed ephemera such as menus, postcards, and stationery. In addition, a training manual has been removed and is kept in the Library. Please inquire for more details.
