The Max C. Hooten World War II Collection is a small collection of materials related to the World War II service of Max C. Hooten and his family.

The collection includes: a soldier's individual pay record for Hooten; a postcard with an illustration of soldiers on a train; "War Ration Book Four" issued to Hooten; "War Ration Book Two," "War Ration Book Three" and "War Ration Book Four" issued to Laura A. Lepper (Hooten's wife); a Sugar Ration Book issued to Dawn Lee Hooten (Hooten's daughter); a memo to soldiers; a decorative leather cover for book "My Service Record, Army Air Forces, Army Air Base, Lincoln Nebraska" (does not include any military records; a black-and-white 8x10" photograph of unidentified men looking at a propeller; a black-and-white 8x10" photograph of a B-29. In addition, there are two 8x10" pastel drawings, probably dating from after the war: one of shipping docks, one of aircraft (possibly Boeing 707s) at a hangar.
