The Sally (Harris) Hodgson Flight Attendant Collection is a small collection documenting Hodgson's career as a flight attendant in the mid-twentieth century in the United Kingdom. Materials include her log book from 1957-1960 with flights primarily in Europe; five black-and-white photographs of various sizes of Hodgson in her uniforms from Air Kruise, Silver City Airways, and British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC); undated clippings with pictures of her and colleagues; a letter recognizing her resignation from Silver City Airways in 1959; some memorandums from BOAC from 1959-1960 relaying positive comments from passengers; and an undated card depicting an Silver City Airways Bristol 170 Mk 32 aircraft.

Biographical Note: Sally Hodgson

Sally Harris Hodgson was a flight attendant in the mid twentieth century. She was born on October 13, 1936 in Colchester Essex, U.K. She worked as an air hostess/flight attendant for Air Kruise, Silver City Airways, and BOAC from approximately 1957-early 1960s. She is also a former actress, having worked in theater, T.V. and radio.
