Pan American Airways Postcards and Pacific Alaska Airways Photograph
Contents of the Collection
This small collection is comprised of three postcards for Pan American Airways and a photograph related to Pacific Alaska Airways. Of the postcards, two feature a Pan American Airways DC-6 with a text description on the reverse promoting the addition of "Super-6 Clippers" to the fleet, and the third depicts the "Sleeperette" lounge chair available on "President" flights. They are dated circa 1950s. The photograph depicts Pacific Alaska Airways personnel in front of a Lockheed 10 Electra, circa 1930s.

Historical Note: Pacific Alaska Airways
Pacific Alaska Airways was a subsidiary of Pan American Airways with service routes around Alaska in the 1930s. The airline was absorbed into Pan American Airways in 1940.
