Promotional book titled "Curtiss-Wright Airports: A Nation-wide Chain of Strategically Located Ports" published by the Curtiss-Wright Airport Corporation, New York City. The volume contains maps showing locations of the 12 airports and 35 Flying Service bases operated by the company, airport property plans, photographs and illustrations of facilities, and descriptions of facilities and services provided and planned. The introduction states the Curtiss-Wright Airports Corporation plans to “serve the entire aviation industry” by building a nation-wide chain of modern airports containing service facilities” that are “open to every legitimate aviation enterprise and private individual.” The airports described in the volume include: Curtiss Airport Valley Stream; North Beach Airport at Bowery Bay, New York City; Essex Airport at Caldwell, New Jersey; Hadley Airport at New Brunswick, New Jersey; Curtiss Airport at Baltimore; Bettis Airport at Pittsburgh; Herrick Airport at Cleveland; Curtiss Airport at Chicago; Curtiss-Wright Airport at Milwaukee; Curtiss-Steinberg Airport at St. Louis; Grand Central Terminal at Los Angeles; and Alameda Airport at San Francisco.
