Scope and Contents

File containing 11 signed letters (1 page each) dated from February 7, 1917 to February 20, 1918. Most of the letters are on Simplex Automobile Co. printed letterhead stationery and are addressed to “The Board of Directors.” There are letters of resignation for John F. Alvord (February 7, 1917); Edward M. Hagar (February 15,1917); James G. Dudley (February 21, 1917); George M. McAninch (March 2, 1917); Morris Metcalf (March 16, 1917); Gordon Wilson (April 25,1917); Glenn L. Martin (August 27,1917); C. B. Hibbard (on Wright-Martin Aircraft Corporation stationery, December 11,1917); and J.A. Donahue (November 20,1918). There is also an original letter (1 page) from Gordon Wilson, Secretary and Treasurer, to Charles E. Davis notifying him of a special meeting of the Directors to be held April 30, 1917.
