Scope and Contents

Folder containing inter-office memoranda and correspondence primarily dating 1947-1948 relating primarily to public relations activities and publications. The file includes a reprint of an article about the Curtiss-Wright Corporation from the April 1934 issue of Aero Digest; a copy of “Major Problems and Time Elements in Expanding the Aircraft Industry in World War II” by Guy W. Vaughan: a “condensed” list of news items prepared in August, 1947 by John T. Wetzel; information for the 1948 Aircraft Yearbook including a four page corporate history and photographs of engines; a March 1948 press release for World Aviation Annual about 1947 operations of the three aircraft manufacturing divisions; a copy of a story to be published in the World Aviation Annual for 1948 about the Wright Aeronautical Corporation for review and comment; an undated 12-page report of activities of the engine-building division in World War II; a copy of a 1946 brochure titled “Curtiss-Wright Corporation: Its Divisions, Its Products;” and a two-page press release about the Wright Aeronautical Division in Wood-Ridge, New Jersey prepared by the Public Relations Department on June 18, 1952.
