Scope and Contents

Envelope with printed return address of Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Corporation, 52 Vanderbilt Avenue, New York, and marked “Benham Option.” The envelope contains a typed option stamped "Document File 78-12" (1 page) to the Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Corporation of Buffalo to purchase two parcels of land in Urbana, New York. The document is signed by L.J. Benham and Mary E. Benham on March 15, 1919 and signed again on May 15, 1919 to extend the option to August 15, 1919.

Attached to the document is a typed extension to November 15 (1 page) signed by both Benhams on August 15, 1919 and a second extension (1 page) to February 15, 1920 signed on November 15, 1919.
