Powered by a 200 h.p. Wright J-5 engine, the first C-3B was produced in 1927 in Wichita, and 136 models were built between 1927 and 1929. The plane gained world-wide recognition in 1932 when Ross Hadley, Los Angeles sportsman, made a tour of the globe in a C-3B. One model of the C-3B was made in 1928 with a 150 h.p.
