Special Orders No. 21, November 3, 1917. Gives several orders to men in the 3rd Aviation Instruction Department, including assigning 1st Lieutenant Hamilton Coolidge as the commanding officer of the Provisional School Company #4.

Special Order No. 104, November 20, 1917. The order revokes another order for Hamilton Coolidge and three other 1st Lieutenants to proceed to the 7th Aviation Instruction Center.

Special Orders No. 60, December 1, 1917. Gives orders to several officers at the 3d Aviation Instruction Center at Issoudon. Includes orders for 1st Lieutenant R. [sic] Coolidge to be detailed to the Training Department, in addition to his other duties.

Letter, 1st Lieutenant Hamilton Coolidge to the Commanding Officer at the 3rd Aviation Instruction Center, March 28, 1918. Letter was written in an effort to retain Corporal Louis Dardenne, a French mechanic working at the Instruction Center.

Memo, 1st Lieutenant Hamilton Coolidge to Lieutenant Colonel Kilner, April 26, 1918. The letter advises the commanding officers to retain the services of French mechanics Garandet Marcel and Dardenne Allyre.

Special Order No. 147, May 30, 1918. Orders a large group of men to proceed from the 3rd Aviation Instruction Center to Orly, France, where they will report to the Commanding Officer for active duty at that station. 1st Lieutenant Quentin Roosevelt is put in charge of the group, which includes 1st Lieutenant Hamilton Coolidge. Office Memo No. 139, June 2, 1918. 1st Lieutenant Hamilton Coolidge is relieved from his duty as Transfer Pilot and is assigned to the Airplane & Motor Division to act as an Assistant Test Flyer.

Special Orders No. 149, June 6, 1918. Ten (10) men, including 1st Lieutenant Hamilton Coolidge, are ordered to travel from Paris, France to Chartres, France for duty and station at that place.

Commendation, August 14, 1918. From the Commander-in-Chief [President Woodrow Wilson] via General Headquarters of the American Expeditionary Force to the 1st Pursuit Group, for their 'effective and daring work.'

Operations Order No. 133, September 18, 1918. Order for pilots to lessen their aggression during patrols and to not penetrate more than three (3) kilometers into enemy territory.
