Biographical Note

Katherine Magruder Rutledge (1946-) was an Eastern Airlines flight attendant between 1966-1971.

Katherine "Kem" Magruder was born on August 7, 1946 to Marjorie and Neil Magruder in Greenwood, Mississippi. She attended Mississippi State College for Women and graduated in 1964. In 1966 Magruder began working for Eastern Airlines as a flight attendant. She remained there until 1971. Magruder married Peter Rutledge in Indianola, Missisippi. The couple had two children. No further information is known.

Contents of the Collection The Katherine (Magruder) Rutledge Eastern Airlines Flight Attendant Collection is a small collection of training materials collected and used by Rutledge during her 1966 Eastern Airlines flight attendant training.
