Biographical Note: Maud T. Bartles

Maud T. Bartles was born May 17, 1915 in Clinton Corners, New York to Gustav J. and Maud Talleur. She married William Henry Bartles on October 16, 1937. She worked as a telephone operator in Poughkeepsie, New York per the 1940 census and by 1950, per the census, she was a homemaker. She died in Staatsberg, New York August 22, 2006 and is buried in Upton Lake Cemetery. Her grandson Matt Hayes would later become President of the Museum of Flight in Seattle, Washington.
