Biographical Note

José Sanches was born in San Jose, California on October 21, 1958. He attended San Jose State University and obtained a Bachelor's in Aeronautics. Sanches served with the United States Air Force from 1980-1988and spent time flying Boeing KC-135s. After his military service, Sanches joined Delta Airlines as a pilot.

Contents of the Collection This small collection is comprised of assorted documents and pilot training materials acquired by José Sanches during his 1980-1988 United States Air Force service. The materials relate to the Boeing KC-135 and Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington (state). Examples include "Cockpit Procedures Trainer Program Systems Facts and Review," "Setting Takeoff Thrust - KC-135," "KC-135 Cold Weather Procedures,"KC-135 Mito/Cell Formation Techniques," and "Fairchild AFB EWO T/O Data."
