Biographical Note
Polly (Peppard) Rohrback served as Northwest Airlines flight attendant (stewardess) from 1968-1978.
Polly Ann Peppard was born in Missoula, Montana on April 18, 1946 to Eugene Belmont Peppard and Virginia Pauline (Workman) Peppard. She grew up in Montana and attended the University of Montana where she was a member of the Alpha Phi sorority. After college she got a job with Northwest Airlines as a flight attendant. She was stationed for five years in Minneapolis, Minnesota and for five years in Seattle, Washington. During her time as a flight attendant she was aboard the first jet to fly into Missoula, Montana. She also served on many international routes, including flights to Vietnam with soldiers as they headed to war. She also participated in the Mary Pat Laffey et al. v. Northwest Airlines, Inc. case about rights for stewardesses.
Rohrback married her husband Fred Rohrback in 1976 on Vashon Island, Washington and they had three sons. She enjoyed traveling and skiing. Rohrback died on February 16, 2019 in Covington, Washington.
