Historical Note

People Express Airlines, stylized as PEOPLExpress, was an American low-cost airline that operated out of New Jersey from 1980 to 1987. The airline ceased operations when it merged into Continental Airlines. It is unrelated to a second airline of the same name that operated from Virigina from 2012 to 2014.
