Historical Note

Air New Zealand is an active airline operating from New Zealand. It was established in 1940 as Tasman Empire Airways Limited (TEAL), becoming Air New Zealand in 1965. Initially, it only flew international routes until 1978 when it merged with National Airways Corporation. The airline continues to operate passenger flights present-day.
