Historical Note

Lear-Wuerfel was a short-lived company that built radios and chassis for other manufacturers. William P. Lear and audio engineer Robert "Bob" Wuerfel formed the company in November 1930. The company operated in the Chicago, Illinois area. It ceased operations in mid-1931 when WPL and Wuerfel amicably parted ways due to a difference in interests.
