Historical Note
Braniff Air Lines, Inc. was founded in 1926. In 1930 it became Braniff Airways, Inc. and in 1946 it changed again to Braniff International Airways. In May 1982, the company ceased air operations, although Braniff International continues in the hospitaliaty industry.

Contents of the Collection
The James Sterling Braniff Interior Photograph Collection is a small collection comprised of seven (7) color photographs depicting Braniff bulkhead panels for a Boeing 747, circa 1970s. All of the photographs are 8x10" and include a handwritten identification number on the reverse. The photographer is unknown. Abstract
Lindell Ray Vinson (1938-2005) was a United States Naval aviator and a commercial airline pilot. Dianne (Shannon) Vinson (1940-2006) worked for Braniff Airways, likely as a flight attendant. The collection primarily contains textual materials, six (6) photographs, and one (1) videocassette related to the specific airlines that the Vinsons worked for over their careers, including US Airways, Piedmont Airlines, and Braniff Airways.
